Underground City Beijing II

This project was developed at 帝都绘 (Wechat official account: diduhuiBJ) by the Underground City Beijing II Team in 2018, under the leadership of Chief Designers Mingyang Li (李明扬) and Zhuangzhuang Song (宋壮壮)

Underground City Beijing II is an interactive picture book designed to illustrate the underground city structure for middle school students in Beijing. The project includes a comprehensive range of tasks including research, content design, modeling, and the creation of drawings.

Each page of the picture book depicts a distinct depth beneath the surface. Certain staircases and ramps are hollowed out to indicate vertical connections between different levels.
